When shopping for pumps I always gravitate towards the stiletto heel without the platform. In my opinion they’re much easier to walk in (I’ve walked in high heels since I was a teenager. If there were stripes to earn is this category. I’d have them all. So much that I’d look like a zebra; a zebra with high heels.) Some women may not agree as platform pumps can feel more supportive to walk in.
Also, if you like to look taller or NEED to look taller , the platform pump can definitely give you that! Platform pumps can also give you the club look if not worn with the proper outfit. Aint nothing wrong with the club look as long as you don’t show up trying to look professional in that mid-thigh skirt “power suit”. Now, This is where your regular pump would look a whole lot classier.
For a professional setting, check yourself on the length of your skirt. If you’re not sure then it’s too short! I pair up my platform pumps with tailored slim fit pants through the thigh and flared from the knee. With a nice blouse or a blazer.
